Reviews
I happen to walk by the place and am always happy to see a bakery in Dallas. I stopped in after work and was happy to see a good selection in the late afternoon. The pastries and cakes looked fantastic and I can’t wait to go by at lunch and try some of the sandwiches.
For this visit I tried a pumpkin scone, bacon & jalapeño croissant, chocolate croissant loaf, pretzel croissant, honey almond granola, and a chocolate kouign amman. I liked the sugar crystals on the pumpkin scone and it had good pumpkin flavor but the texture wasn’t my favorite. My husband said the bacon jalapeño croissant was amazing, he loved it. The pretzel croissant was quite good. Interesting combo and would be great for a sandwich.
It was my first Kouign amman. Wow was it delicious. Love the caramelized parts and the chocolate is a wonderful addition. The honey almond granola is so good. Full of flavor and great with yogurt. I gave a friend the chocolate croissant loaf, it looks great.
It won’t be good for me, but I’m very happy to have this European style bakery full of treats in my area. And can’t wait to try more.
This was one of the worst places I have ever been to while visiting Dallas. I got a chocolate cake (which had no flavor and was not sweet). Spinach and feta croissant (barely had anything in it and was stale and soggy). Almond Croissant (stale and had too much almond extract so it tasted medicinal). I called to see if these were day old products and was told They do not make anything in house but it gets trucked in daily from their local warehouse where its made. The only reason for 1 star is because the staff is friendly and helpful. I wish I could get a refund as nothing was really edible.
What a lovely surprise it was to find this place! We took home a beautiful loaf and treated ourselves to desert and coffee. My favorite was the giant almond croissant!
They used to bake on-site, and their croissants were Parisian-quality. They moved baking elsewhere, now they're hit-or-miss, grocery-store quality. Note large opened gaps, soft plush bottom (photos attached); another was under-baked with a greyish doughy underside.
The pastries and quiche seem about the same (quite good).
Cute little coffee shop in the lower greenville area for an early morning pick me up. Loved their vanilla latte.
Absolutely in love with this café. The breads look so tempting but I was craving croissants. Really really good croissants, possibly the best I had in Dallas so far. I'm happy that the size of the pastries are generous. The pretzel croissant is a little too salty for my taste but it's probably good with other ingredients added. Iced mocha is also delicious. It's dog friendly so I get to see and pet many cute ones! Thank you for existing, will definitely come back 💕
My husband and I visited this place once every quarter. Very busy especially weekend morning and brunch time. The photos we posted was our twice visits. Everything is very filling, you can even bring it home and eat it later. I'm giving
4-stars because they served ready-made sandwiches. When i asked for a custom make, they told me I can only pick from the display which already readymade in the early morning. However I picked a vegetarian sandwich (came with pesto spread, mozzarella cheese and slice tomatoes in a bun) -taste good! However, I would appreciate if they allowed for a custom order, because I really like to have crossiont to go with the others vegetarian ingredients.
☝🏼 Some of the pastries are hard (the varieties of croissants). You will need to warm it up or dip it in hot coffee to eat it.
I agree with some other reviews here regarding croissant quality - they used to be phenomenal, almost as good as you can find in France. Now it’s totally hit or miss, and the last 2 times I’ve been here have been definite misses. My most recent visit this week, our croissants were taken from the display row up top, and were extremely stale, obviously from the day before if not older. Such a disappointment since they used to be incredible. We live 35 mins from Dallas and drive in specifically for this bakery, which we’ll be doing a lot less now. Also they’re cashless which is going in a very dangerous direction.
